  2. NUTRITION TOPICS
    • Health: The 3 Ws of nutrition (What, When and Water) from the perspective of raising metabolism (what to eat), caloric pacing (when to eat) and water (hydration). This signature talk addresses motivation and shows how health impacts performance and weight loss.
    • Performance: Raising metabolism for the purpose of fueling muscle instead of fat for improved recovery, energy, and power-to-weight ratio. Nutrient timing, hydration and electrolytes.
    • Weight Loss: Addresses the key barriers to losing body fat and how to overcome them, including cravings, sugar addiction, social eating, a busy schedule, etc.
    • Personalized Talk: I teach medical and advanced sports nutrition courses. Let me know what topics you want covered and I will very likely be able to provide a powerful talk.
  3. THE IDEAL LENGTH IS TWO HOURS
    • 1-2 hour seminar (lecture): The basic information takes 2 hours to cover at a fast pace. In 1.5 hours the aspects of nutrient timing and hydration are abbreviated. In 1 hour all topics are abbreviated, so a 1-hour talk should be thought of as exposing the audience to ideas rather than teaching them how to eat. If the goal is that audience members leave the session with a preliminary nutrition plan in hand so that they can go home with a hard copy guide of what to do, then a workshop should be added at the end of the lecture so that the audience can fill out their meal composition, timing, and hydration in a worksheet while still at the session (see below).
    • 0.5-1.5 hour workshop right after the seminar: Hands-on application of the seminar material using worksheets to optimize each person’s individual nutrition. With 0.5 hrs attendees can optimize a few meals that they commonly eat. With a full hour attendees can address the basics of what they are eating, when they are eating it, and hydration (the 3 Ws). With 1.5 hours there is a significantly greater capacity to engage the audience in discussions on the details of their performance, health, or weight loss strategies.
    • Over 3.5 hours: We should discuss what components of my medical or sports nutrition courses you want covered for your group.
  4. RATES
    • $300 for the 1st hour (or partial hour), $250 for the 2nd hour, and $200 for each additional hour. Payment arrangement must be done in advance.
    • Transportation to your location: $75/hr round trip per session, minimum $50
